MA-ZAL is not an idea that appeared suddenly, and it is not a business limited to one service. It is the extension of a long professional and operational journey that began in engineering, architecture, and project management, then expanded into a business platform connecting advisory, trade, investment, design, development, and multi-disciplinary technical support.

Its name carries its spirit: MA-ZAL continues to build, continues to expand, continues to look for opportunities that are not seen at first glance, and turns experience, relationships, and vision into executable projects.

Foundation

MA-ZAL was founded on the vision of its Founder & CEO, Mahmoud Ali Abdel Majid, a Lebanese architect with a solid academic and professional background and more than two decades of experience in major project management, governance, contracts, quality control, risk management, and leading multidisciplinary teams.

This journey was not a simple movement between roles and projects. It was a long path through complex environments that do not tolerate error: major future-oriented projects, infrastructure, energy facilities, urban development, and client-side PMC responsibilities, where the mission is not only to follow execution, but to protect interests, read risks before they appear, and manage the relationship between owner, contractor, and consultant in a way that preserves value and prevents deviation.

From this experience, MA-ZAL was born: a company that does not stop at providing a service, but seeks to build a planning and execution system capable of reading markets, understanding stakeholders, building trust, and turning opportunities into realistic work paths.

A Journey That Shaped the Vision

For more than twenty years, Mahmoud Ali Abdel Majid worked across major projects in Saudi Arabia and the region, including core projects in NEOM, luxury royal palace developments, infrastructure and energy projects, and portfolios with values reaching billions of Saudi riyals.

Across these stations, the role was never limited to technical follow-up. The essence of the experience was client-side governance: contract management, claims control, protection of owner interests, quality monitoring, team leadership, and executive reporting to decision-makers.

This experience gave the Founder of MA-ZAL a practical understanding of what projects need before they begin, what threatens them during execution, and what makes them sustainable after completion. This understanding is what the company now carries into new markets and wider fields.

Official Presence and Multi-Sector Direction

MA-ZAL operates through an official presence in more than one market, with a main base in Istanbul, Türkiye, and a registered extension in Kigali, Rwanda.

In the Republic of Türkiye, the company carries the official name: MA ZAL İÇ VE DIŞ TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, commercial registry .... The Rwandan company carries the official name: MA-ZAL RWANDA Limited, registration number ....

This presence is not merely a legal registration. It reflects a clear strategic direction: building a multi-arm company capable of operating in international trade, engineering and architectural consultancy, technical services, real estate, contracting, management consultancy, feasibility studies, visual identity development, and commercial and food-related services.

MA-ZAL’s experience also extends into the world of premium coffee. The company registered a trademark in Türkiye, entered the food sector through its premium gateway, coffee, and launched its first project in Tripoli, Lebanon, reflecting its ability to combine commercial vision, food identity, and premium product experience.

Africa: The Strategic Direction

MA-ZAL does not look at Africa as a passing market, but as a long-term strategic direction. Rwanda, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, and West Africa in general represent a promising space for building real projects, practical partnerships, and solutions that go beyond traditional consultancy. As the Founder has often said, “Africa, the bright future of this planet,” MA-ZAL seeks to contribute to turning that sentence into reality.

MA-ZAL aims to work with governments, investors, and private-sector partners in fields including engineering consultancy, technical support, commercial advisory, economic feasibility studies, governmental vision studies, short- and long-term planning, and visual and institutional identity design.

Emerging markets do not need good ideas only. They need those who understand how trust is built, how the local environment is read, and how opportunity moves from a theoretical promise into an executable project.

The journey of MA-ZAL’s Founder extended beyond engineering and project management. It included direct engagement with leadership and governmental circles in West Africa, including high-level communication with His Excellency the President of the Republic of Liberia and a visit to his home, alongside trusted relationships within Liberia’s leadership and governmental environment.

These relationships are not a protocol layer, nor a social appearance. They are the result of years of building trust, being present at the right moments, and understanding how doors open in markets where presentations alone are not enough.

For MA-ZAL, relationships are not a substitute for experience, and experience is not a substitute for execution. Real strength begins when trust meets vision, and vision meets the ability to work.
